How to Use your GenerLink transfer switch with your Ford Truck

Power your home when the grid goes down using your Ford truck. Your Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid (7.2kw) or F-150 Lightning (9.6kw) with the 240V Pro Power Onboard outlet can do more than get you where you're going — it can help keep hardwired essential appliances in your home running during a power outage. Paired with a GenerLink transfer switch, GenerLok cord, and Ford Vehicle Connector, your truck becomes a powerful backup power source. In this video, we walk you through every step: ✅ Confirming a power outage ✅ Positioning your vehicle safely near your electric meter ✅ Turning off your main breaker and circuits ✅ Connecting the GenerLok cord to your GenerLink transfer switch ✅ Attaching the Ford Vehicle Connector to your truck's 240V Pro Power Onboard outlet ✅ Activating Pro Power Onboard from your truck's touchscreen or Ford app ✅ Safely restoring power to essential circuits ✅ Monitoring your home's wattage and fuel/battery level in real time ⚠️ Before you start: A GenerLink transfer switch must be professionally installed by a licensed electrician or your utility company prior to use. ⚠️ Safety first: Always follow the safety guidelines included with your GenerLink system and your F-150 owner's manual. Only operate your vehicle outdoors. More Information: https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/e..., https://shopgenerlink.com/pages/ford-... ⚠️ Unplug when power is restored: Always unplug your truck from the GenerLink device once grid power is restored. Not available in all states or with all utilities. Approval and installation requirements may vary by GenerLink model, state, and utility requirements. Check with your utility provider or licensed electrician. Failure to use proper equipment or installation methods may create backfeed to utility lines, and result in property damage, fire, electrical shock or death. GenerLink products are offered and sold by Global Power Products. Ford is not responsible for GenerLink products.

Why Ford Hired Back 350 Veteran Engineers After Over-Relying on AI | FP Explains | N18G

Can AI replace experienced workers? Ford learned the hard way that it cannot. After relying heavily on automated quality systems, the automaker realised its vehicles lacked the expected level of craftsmanship. When senior engineers retired, their crucial real-world knowledge disappeared, leaving AI systems unable to spot early defects. To fix this, Ford brought back over 350 veteran ‘gray beard’ engineers. Instead of just solving problems, these experts are now mentoring young talent and training AI systems with decades of hands-on data, shifting Ford's strategy from fixing defects to preventing them entirely through early collaboration.
