Find the Right Van Accessories for Your Work Van

Find your Work Van with the Most Useful Van Accessories

An Upfit Package with Ranger Design

Getting the most from your work van is easy when you choose the right van accessories to help you become more organized and efficient. Good truck and van accessories will always pay for themselves by allowing you to maximize your cargo space and productivity, while also keeping your most expensive equipment protected.
With so many van accessories to choose from, the best way to find which ones work for you is to take some time to consider your needs. All tradesmen work differently, and every trade has their own basic tools. Make a list of all the equipment that you use daily. Consider ladders, large and small parts, and inventory. With a list in hand, you’ll be able to visualize your needs and determine which of the van accessories below will be the most beneficial.

Van Accessories for Organization:

Paper holdersbottle holders and reel holders are designed to increase organization by giving you a specific spot to store your equipment. Instead of rolling loose on the floor, your bottles and reels can be fastened down and within easy reach from the door. As for your paperwork and files, keep them all together in a paper holder where they won’t get ripped or crumpled.
Partskeepers are a great way to keep your smallest parts together and secured. With small, dividable bins, they offer a great storage system to take with you onto the job site. Sturdy yet lightweight, you can never have too many Partskeepers for your tools.
Storage bins are available in several sizes, and can be accessorized with bin dividers. These are ideal for holding items and inventory so you can find what you need quickly and easily. Like the Partskeepers, if you have many items to carry with you on the job, then these bins are the ideal solution.
Hooks come in several different styles and can be used to organize tools and equipment near the van doors to be most effective. Hard hat holders can keep frequently used hats within easy reach and safely stowed while on the road.

Van Accessories for Driver Comfort & Safety:

Lighting keeps the cargo space bright, making it easy to find your tools, no matter what time of day or night. It also eliminates any chance of receiving cuts and bruises when searching through your tools in the dark.
Rear Steps are extremely beneficial for tradesmen with high roof vans. Climbing in and out several times a day can put quite a strain on your legs and back, especially when carrying heavy items at the same time. The steps also provide a rugged grip in the winter, so there is no fear of slipping when getting in or out.
Grab Handles, like the rear steps, are designed to provide you with easier access into your van. Whether installed in a high roof of low roof work van, it is always useful to have something to hold onto. It can also be used to tie down additional cargo for safe transportation.
Flettner vents help protect you from any gasses/vapors or smells that may build up in the cargo area of your vehicle. It helps reduce heat build-up and allows moisture to escape should any materials or tools be stored while they are still wet. It is a simple way to stay healthy while working.

Van Accessories for Vehicle Security:
Lockable Doors and Drawers provide two advantages. They can better protect your inventory and tools by keeping them in one place on the rougher roads. Also, they can deter thieves and protect valuable tools while you’re on the job and your work van is left unattended.
Wire grills for your windows can also protect you against theft as well as prevent damage to the van during loading or unloading. They are an easy install and such a simple product that just might help save you a lot of money in the future.
Seat Covers help keep your work van seats clean and in good condition. Instead of getting dirt and grease on your seats and staining them permanently, use custom-fit covers that can be easily removed and washed. Come time to sell your vehicle, you will be grateful you kept them in such good condition.
Learn other simple tricks to help Safeguard Your Work Van Against Tool Theft.
Consider the demands of your trade and your needs, and invest in the van accessories that will pay for themselves with the time and money they save.

Take a look at this truck built by Premier Truck Center

A Perfect truck for municipalities and contractors.

Dhollandia Model RPL Liftg22 galvanized liftgate with a 2200 pound capacity.

This truck has it all, you can load the 12 foot aluminum flatbed dump body using the liftgate and you can dump the load with the dump body hoist. Tools and supplies can be stored in the behind-the-cab Backpack storage box.

The aluminum 12  ft dump body outfits this truck needed for a multitude of daily tasks for municipalities and for contractors. The aluminum body allows for carrying more payload than a steel body. This body has ½ solid sides and ½ expanded metal sides. That is a personal choice by the customer, we can provide solid sides as well

The body was designed and manufactured by Premier and will withstand the loads and cycles required transferring materials for many, many requirements.

This side view shows the behind-the-cab Aluminum “Tread-Plated” Back-Pack Storage Box with top mounted Cone Holder tray. The body has a Manual Roll-Up Tarp accessed by a step with grab handle. Notice the short wheelbase, the excellent turn radius for this truck. Also note the bottom hinged drop-down door allowing side-loading of materials (light tree limbs, etc.) over the side.

The dump is operated with the Venco VC516ED double Acting Power Subframe Hoist.

All-In-All, this Chassis along with the all-aluminum body and storage on the work–end of the chassis makes for a very efficient work truck.

The body is a 12ft Premier built Steel Flatbed with a 53-inch-high punched headboard and a forklift loadable material rack.

In addition to the drop-down tailgate, this body has drop-down side gates as well. This allows for loading and unloading from both the rear and the sides

This is a truck set up for a contractor that will make their work so much more efficient. It’s got six total 18X18inX48 inch weatherproof, lockable toolboxes, four mounted topside and four mounted under the body.

Loading the overhead rack with materials frees up the bed area for other equipment and supplies.

Note that the over-the-cab portion of the rack has 10-inch-high sides, an aerodynamic nose with punched air-flow holes and with a solid floor. The solid floor allows for carrying materials that might drop through with other crossbar designs.

Body Specs:

·       12ft x 96” wide Premier built steel flatbed

·       53” Headboard with punched window

·       3/16-inch-thick smooth one-piece floor

·       3” channel crossmembers- 12 inches on center

·       6-inch channel long-sills

·       Outside Rub-rail with pockets

·       Full width rear skirt

·       LED body Lights

·       Hitch Plate Bumper with 2-inch Receiver and 7 way plug

·       Six 18x18x48 inch Toolboxes, 4 over and 2 under the bed

·       18inx48in toolboxes, 4 over and 2 under bed

·             18 inch High Rear and Side Drop-Down Gates

·       Back-up Camera

·       Forklift Loadable Material Rack with 10-inch-high side rails and a “Punched Enclosed Nose” extends over cab. The Over-cab extension has a solid steel floor

·       The two Rearmost Crossbows are removeable

·       Body and Rack are Epoxy Primed and Top-Coated “Shiny Gloss” Black paint

This crew-cab truck has plenty of room for the crew and a reasonable turning radius with the 84-inch cab to axle dimension.

The chrome wheels, the shiny gloss black body and the aluminum rock guards on the toolboxes make this a very sharp looking work truck!

Survey Results: THE MOST IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT FOR SERVICE TRUCKS

Survey respondents were asked to pick the two most important pieces of equipment on their service vehicles, out of air compressors, cranes, generators, welders, or other.

A significant portion of respondents chose “air compressor” as one of their top two most important pieces of equipment. Generators, cranes, and welders were split closely, with 32%, 31%, and 27% of respondents selecting these pieces of equipment as their top two most important. The other category includes responses such as hand tools, bucket lifts, liftgates, vacuums, and pumps.

OPERATORS/MECHANICS FAVOR AIR COMPRESSORS

Air compressors ranked even higher in popularity when segmenting the 47 Operators and Mechanics who answered the survey. 94% of these respondents chose air compressor as one of their top two most important pieces of equipment.
